How does the Plan Program work?
The Gold Plan by Coastal Dental gives you access to savings on a variety of dental services. Program highlights include:
1. No waiting periods
2. No claim forms to submit
3. No deductibles or maximums
4. No age restrictions for subscribers
5. Guaranteed plan acceptance
6. Access to a large network of dental providers
A membership kit will be sent to your home. The kit will contain your ID card a break-down of the discounts you will receive, and the description of services and disclosure form.
Is the Gold Plan insurance?
No, it is not insurance. It is a discount program providing access to a discounted fee schedule negotiated by Coastal Dental, Inc. Save on dental care such as cleanings, examinations, x-rays and more. Participants are responsible for paying the provider for services received.
Can I be denied participation in this program?
No. There are no restrictions on participation, regardless of your age or pre-existing conditions.
What if I already have insurance?
The program provides discounts for services that may not be covered by your insurance. This program can be used alongside your existing insurance plan to potentially reduce out-of-pocket expenses. You can also use the program for additional savings on treatments not included in your current benefits. If you have dental insurance, you should contact your insurer to see what benefits will be paid.
Who can sign up?
All individuals and families may sign up. If you sign up for "Family," all members of your immediate family currently living in your household can take advantage of the discounts. Any new family members can also be signed up. If you sign up for "Individual" and want to sign up family members later on, please contact us at 1-800-874-1986 for more information. How do I start using my Discount plan through Coastal Dental, Inc.?
You may begin using your plan when your membership ID cards are received. Once your cards are received, contact one of the participating providers and schedule your appointment.
Can I request additional ID cards for my family and/or replacement cards?
Yes. Contact us online or call us toll-free at 1-800-874-1986.
How often can I use the program?
You may use the program as often as you wish. There are no limits on how often you and your family can use the program as long as your membership is effective.
Am I required to pay the provider when I receive services?
Yes, payment is due at the time of service, unless you have made alternative payment arrangements directly with the provider. Coastal Dental does not pay for services.
What if a participating provider does not recognize my program card?
Simply ask the office staff to call 1-800-874-1986 listed on your ID card, and a customer service representative will be happy to provide the necessary information.

Use our online Provider Search (Find a Dentist). Or call us toll-free at 1-800-874-1986 to find participating provider near you.
How can I join?
There are three ways to sign up:
1. On-line, right here on this website. Just click the Join tab at the top of this page.
2. Telephone: Call one of our customer service representatives toll-free at
1-800-874-1986. Please refer to the Description of Services and Disclosure Form for more information.
3. Brochure: Please print the brochure and mail it to the address listed on the brochure.
How can I pay for Gold Plan?
You may pay by credit card, bank debit card or check.
1. If you choose Credit Card or Bank Draft
a. We will automatically charge your account for the amount specified annually.
b. A one-time $15 administrative fee (nonrefundable) will be added to your first
payment.
2. Check or Money Order
a. You should include the $15 processing fee with your payment. You will receive an
invoice for your annual fee each year prior to your renewal date. Simply send us the
annual fee due prior to the renewal date.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Your satisfaction is very important to us. However, if you are not satisfied with the plan you will have forty-five (45) days after you receive your identification card(s) to cancel your eligibility and receive a full refund of your enrollment fee (but not the $15 processing fee). No cancellation will be permitted if you or any eligible family member received services from a network dentist during this 45-day period.
